Could’ve cut from the ‘end’ of Finn’s ballad straight to “Can Quinn stay here?”

Seatfiller

-Two former college roommates (Marc and Jackson) are stuck in dead end jobs right out of college in LA. Marc sees a pop up ad looking for seatfillers at an award show. He signs them up and next thing they know they are sitting in between Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx at the Oscars. They get hooked. They start to sign up for every event that happens in the LA area and at each event they take on lavish personalities and therefore are treated with the respect they never get in their real lives. At one event, Marc ends up sitting in between  George Clooney and Brad Pitt, there to support Ocean’s Fifteen’s nomination for Best Ensemble Cast. The three bond over their hatred for Steven Spielberg’s hair and beard. When it comes time for Marc to move seats George tells the lady in charge to let him keep his seat. They talk throughout the show and when its over, Marc has both their numbers in his phone. The movie follows Marc on his adventures with his movie star friends in Hollywood, eventually leading to his receiveing an actual invitation to The Golden Globes.

Songtown (working title)

-A man accepts a job as a manager with his bank’s office in a small town in the mid-west. Upon arrival to his new home his neighbors and fellow townspeople perform a lavish song-and-dance routine to welcome him. The man is initially taken back but brushes it off as a sort of “welcome wagon” ceremony that they must do for all newcomers. It isn’t until the three more songs he encounters on his first day at work, that he starts to notice that he may have moved into a musical. (Throughout the movie there might be songs happening in the background due to the fact that he is not a lead character, but just a supporting role. The main characters are James, his neighbor, and Sally, the school teacher.) The movie will follow his 6-month stay in the town and how he comes to terms with life in a musical.

Couldn’t pull either off with a budget of $0.. plus no stealzies (hmph)

mines too long to post as an answer. i always wanted to make a short film about a girl who is perfectly normal and cute and funny but really unlucky in love. she goes to the doctor and finds out she has no natural pheromones, thus is a completely non sexual being to the rest of the planet. she falls in love with a chemist who whips her up a little bottle of love potion/pheromone.

ok maybe change the ending.
